RESOURSES + NARRATION & DRAMA... READER

Here begins this course, very beautiful on the outside but much more inside.

These are the websites that I see interesting to know more skills of reading and listening to use with children to learn English. From my point of view they are very good resources to improve these strategies.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl
(First chapter)

Charlie Bucket is a poor boy who lives with his poor family in a small wooden house on the edge of a great town. There were two rooms. In a room his four grandparents slept in the same bed and in the other room he and his parents slept upon mattresses on the floor.

The only person with a job is Charlie’s father. He works in a toothpaste factory but he don’t earn enough money to be able to buy even half of the things and food that his family need.

Charlie loves chocolate more than anything else. Only once a year, on his birthday, he used to taste a bar of chocolate. He lives near a very famous factory called WONKA`S FACTORY

Every day Charlie has to walk right past the factory and this is a torture for him because he always smells the gorgeous chocolate.

This poor boy uses to dream with chocolate and with that incredible factory. He wishes that someday he could go inside the factory and know everything of it.
